Have you tried the NOOK HD+?

I recently bought the new NOOK HD+ at only 150dlls.
I find it a perfect tablet for that price. 9inch screen, Full HD, and great performance.
I use it mainly for reading comics and magazines, and also watching some shows on netflix.

It comes with a custom version of android, but it can be easily rooted to put stock android on it.

Has anyone else tried it? I recommend it to anyone looking to buy a cheap tablet with a great screen.

    Hey shanatron,

I have read a lot about Nook HD recently, especially the screen. No doubt, at the price you get it, it is very stunning. I am looking to buy it for my kid so that I able to keep him away from my own tab..

Do you think it is good enough for playing games, one like "where's my water"..?

Yes, it's perfectly capable of running that kind of games. It would be a great gift to your son.

I don't know much about the Nook hd. I see it in my local store but haven't really look at it for myself. I prefer my tablet but it would be good for a child or someone who does a lot of reading.
