NBA 2K14 for mobile is too darn hard

I purchased NBA 2K14 for Android and I was impressed with the graphics. The controls are not up to par with the console counterparts but it's pretty much decent. My main pet peeve? The game is simply too hard! Even at the rookie difficulty setting, it's so hard to defeat the opponent when I'm the visiting team.
